Do you offer apprenticeships?

If you join us in any role in our hotels and restaurants, you’ll have the option of completing an apprenticeship. Our programmes come with the opportunity to earn while you learn and you'll receive the same pay as everyone else – we don’t pay our apprentices a lower wage. Just let your manager know you’re interested, and they’ll help you decide which is the right one for you.

We also offer apprenticeships in some of our Support Centre roles.

How old do I have to be to apply?

You can apply with us as soon as you are 16 or older and of school leaving age. You can find out more about the school leaving age at: https://www.gov.uk/know-when-you-can-leave-school

Do you offer work experience?

Yes, we offer up to 10 days of work experience for ages 14+. If you are interested in joining us for work experience please contact workexperience@whitbread.com.

Do you have any new sites opening?

With over 855+ hotels across the UK and Ireland and a rapidly growing network of Premier Inn’s in Germany, we always have new hotels in the pipeline. To be kept up to date with when we start recruiting for any hotels that might be opening in your local area please sign up for job alerts.

Can you tell me when new jobs are available?

Do I need a CV to apply?

You don't ask for a CV for any of our hourly paid team member roles, although it is advisable for our hourly paid management roles such as Duty Manager and Team Leader. You will need a CV to apply for any of our Head Office and leadership roles.

Do I need experience to apply?

You don't need experience to apply for any of our hourly paid team member roles. We do ask for experience when applying for any management or maintenance positions

Can I apply for more than one job?

We welcome you to apply for all roles that are suitable for you.

Can I send you my CV?

To ensure we comply with GDPR legislation, we can't accept CVs that are sent to us directly, instead please attach to your profile when you apply for a role with us.

How do I get an update on my application?

All vacancies for our hotels and restaurants are managed at site level, if you'd like an update please contact the hotel or restaurant you have applied to directly. For applications to vacancies that are not based at a hotel or restaurant, the relevant recruiter will be in touch with you directly as soon as possible.

What happens if I miss the closing date?

We aren't able to accept applications for roles that have been closed. Please sign up for job alerts to keep up to date with all new jobs to ensure you are able to apply before the closing date.

I have been asked to come for an interview. Is there anywhere to park my car?

Please contact the hotel or restaurant you have applied to directly or the recruiter that you have been speaking to who will be able to advise on where is best to park.

Where is your head office?

We call Head Office our Support Centre and it's based in Houghton Regis, Houghton Hall Business Park, Porz Avenue, Dunstable, Bedfordshire, LU5 5XE. We also have an office in Central London which is at 120 Holborn.

Where are your hotels and restaurants based ?

We're based all over the UK, Ireland and also Germany.

Do you provide feedback on why I have been unsuccessful with my application?

All vacancies for our hotels and restaurants are managed at site level, if you'd like feedback please contact the hotel or restaurant you have applied to directly. For applications to vacancies that are not based at a hotel or restaurant, please contact the relevant recruiter, who will respond as soon as possible.

What identification will I need?

For us to be able to complete our Right to Work in the UK checks you will be asked to provide either a Passport or Biometric Residence Permit. If you don't have any of these documents you will be asked to provide your Birth Certificate and National Insurance details.

Do you sponsor visa applications?

We do hold a sponsorship licence to enable us to sponsor roles under the Governments 'points-based immigration system' for Skilled Worker visas which is subject to strict rules. Any requests for sponsorship will be discussed with our Employee Relations Team in the first instance.

I have a disability and I have certain requirements to enable me to attend an interview. Would I still be considered?

We believe that our teams should be as diverse as the communities that we serve and a place where everyone is welcome, able to be themselves, and feel a sense of belonging. We recognise the importance everyone plays in our business and that reasonable flexibility may be required. We want to make sure that anyone with a disability feels confident to attend an interview and we will support with making any specific adjustments to make this happen.
