Location: Ramsgate, Kent
Salary: £38,000 – £41,000 + up to 25% Bonus + Benefits

We’re looking for a Kitchen Manager to take the helm at The Smugglers Retreat, Ramsgate, a warm and welcoming Table Table restaurant known for its relaxed atmosphere, dependable classics, and friendly service that keeps guests returning.

From May 1st the salary will be a range of £39,000 and £42,250

Reporting into the General Manager, this isn’t just a job – it’s your opportunity to run a thriving kitchen, inspire and develop your team, and deliver the quality dishes that make us a favourite for families, locals, and travellers alike.

What you’ll be doing:

Leading, motivating, and inspiring your kitchen team
Managing stock, food margins, and kitchen standards
Owning food safety, audits, and compliance
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and team development
Driving performance through coaching and regular 1:1s
Delivering consistent, high‑quality dishes to spec
Working closely with a supportive General Manager who knows the operation inside out

What to wear? We recommend you turn up in something smart/casual with comfy shoes. Your job preview will include you giving the job a go, so you'll be on your feet. We'd love to get to know the real you, so don't feel the need to cover any tattoos or piercings. Before you arrive We'll send you a time and location for your interview. Make sure you are aware of where you have to go as we have lots of different locations. What to bring? Yourself, your personality, your right to work and your national insurance number. So if you cannot make your interview time you can let us know. We will try to rebook the interview where possible or if you have just changed your mind, we'll cancel it. 4. Job preview

At the interview for 30 minutes we'll show you what the job is like, so you can see if it's what you expected. Then it’s your turn to ask us if you’ve got any questions. We'll let you know the outcome of your interview
5. Employment Checks

We'll carry out some checks, for example, in the UK, you'll need to provide us with proof of Right to Work. This will be done at different stage
